Meet The Team
Joe Mayer, Physician Assistant
Joe was born and raised in Queens, New York and graduated from Queens College with his Bachelor of Science in Fitness, Nutrition & Exercise Science. During college, he competed on the Cross Country, Track & Field team. After graduation, he worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in Brooklyn for two years. He subsequently attended Johnson & Wales University and graduated with a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. Prior to starting his position with Dr. Marx, Joe worked at HSS as part of the overnight Physician Assistant team caring for post-operative patients in the Hospital.
Sarah Bunnell, Practice Manager
Sarah comes to our practice with over 10 years of healthcare experience. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biobehavior and Health from Pennsylvania State University. Shortly after graduation Sarah made her way to New York City to continue her career advancement in healthcare administration. She was previously our Surgical Coordinator and now oversees all areas of the practice.
Chiffon Roberts, Surgical Coordinator
Chiffon was born and raised in New York City. She received her education at City-as-School in Lower Manhattan and has certifications in Medical Billing and Coding and Medical Administration from the National Healthcare Association (NHA). She previously worked as a Medical Secretary in radiology at Manhattan Breast Health in NY, an Assistant Office Manager at Laser and Mohs of NY, and a Medical Administrator in gastroenterology at ME Medical PC in NY. Chiffon is our surgical coodinator and organizes all aspects of pre and post-operative care.
Andrew Diaz, Medical Secretary
Andrew joins our practice with 6 years of healthcare experience and more than 10 years in customer service. Born and raised in Queens, New York, Andrew has completed several certifications in the healthcare industry including phlebotomy. Andrew worked previously as a Patient Access Specialist at HSS and he is fluent in Spanish as well as English.
Caroline Taber, Research Assistant
Caroline is our research assistant and assists with Dr. Marx's research and academic work. She is originally from Groton, Connecticut. She graduated from Princeton University, where she received a degree in Molecular Biology and was a Division I softball pitcher. She also helps out with patient care as needed.
